Nagaoka Red Cross Hospital is situated in the west shore of the River Shinano, the longest river in Japan, in Nagaoka City.
From the windows of the Hospital, a great view of Higashiyama Mountains, Nishiyama Mountains, and Echigo Mountains can be obtained.
The hospital has a pleasant environment surrounded by "Senshugahara Plain", where we can enjoy a beautiful scenery of trees, plants, and their blossoms all through the four seasons.
Close to the hospital, there are many cultural and educational institutes including Niigata Museum of Modern Art, Hive Nagaoka (a convention hall), and Nagaoka Institute of Design, and their is why this area is called "the Cultural Center of the International City of Nagaoka."
